Koenigsegg One:1 toasted at Nürburgring

A driver walked away from a very expensive crash at the legendary Nurburgring in Germany, and one of the rarest supercars in the world is done.

The One:1 is what Koenigsegg refers to as a "megacar," and only seven of the finished models exist. The company claims the car can accelerate from 0 to 248 miles per hour in 20 seconds. Given the rarity and performance of the One:1, it's difficult to estimate its value, but Car and Driver listed a base price of $2.8 million in 2015. A dealership in Australia that acquired one of the cars listed it for $7.4 million.
The name One:1 comes from the power (1361 PS) to weight (1361 kg) ratio giving the car 1 PS per 1 kg weight. The 1361 PS power output is the equivalent of one megawatt, which Koenigsegg claims makes the One:1 the ‘world's first megacar’. The car is powered by a variant of it's in-house developed 5.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine. The transmission is a 7-speed dual clutch with paddle shifters.

0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) is in 2.8 seconds onto a top speed said to be 280 mph.
